Textruta: HOME Textruta: Warped Media is a full dome digital video system for small and medium size planetariums. The image is projected via a hemispherical mirror up into the entire dome. It is primarily meant for full dome films, and should not replace the opto-mechanical projector you probably already have. It will give your planetarium one more function. Warped Media is designed for domes in sizes 7 to 18 metres. Good image quality without costing hundred of thousands of Euros. Warped Media uses a Canon LCoS projector and an iMac 24 computer. The projector is mounted inside a shutter box with no light spilling out in the planetarium when not used. The mirrors are front surface silvered for best reflection. Warped Media plays fisheye films, that are warped in the computer to come up correctly in the dome. It comes complete with projector, computer, shutter box, all needed software (including Earth bound astronomy software and a 3D solar system software). We will install Warped Media in your planetarium. Warped Media has been manufactured since 2008 by ASH Enterprises, and has been (in March 2010) installed in about 20 planetariums.
